WRF in Mozambique

Rural Economic Development
WRF is developing, in partnership with African Medical and Research Foundation (AMREF) a rural economic development project for a community with a high percentage of landmine survivors and others with disabilities in the Inharrime district of Inhambane.

Vocational Training
WRF is supporting POWER and ADEMO in vocational training courses in baking and metalwork, which will eventually be combined with job placement/job development services.

Policy Initiatives
WRF is providing technical consultation to the National Institute for Demining (IND) at the request of UNDP and the IND, in the development of a draft policy for victim assistance to be incorporated into IND’s five-year action plan.
