Poultry Raising for Free-Range Egg Production

Each participant receives:

  • 210 three-month-old laying hens
  • A contribution in building, equipping, and fencing the henhouse
  • 3-month stock of poultry feed
  • Skills development services through formal training and on-site follow-up
  • Subsidized collection and packaging services
  • Marketing services
  • Access to quality feed

The eggs are delivered by the producers to the Egg Packaging Unit of the COOP where they are checked for quality and cleanliness and then packaged and distributed to various market outlets by the COOP sales team.

This program was launched in 2001 and is still underway.

 

Poultry Raising for Free-Range Chicken Production

Each participant receives:

  • 420 one-day-old chicks
  • A contribution in building, equipping, and fencing the chicken house
  • Poultry feed for one flock
  • Skills development services through formal training and on-site follow-up
  • Subsidized collection, processing and packaging services
  • Marketing services
  • Access to quality feed

This program was launched in 2001 and is still underway.
